Before we began work on the interior of the bedroom all the leaky corners had to be sealed once and for all

Removed all manufacturers corner trim         

Replaced with black angle aluminium 

               Pleased with the results

The metal angle covered 2" either side of the corner.  We  sealed the area underneath thoroughly then screwed on the metal.   We cut it at intervals to go around corners and these joints were also well caulked  We were lucky in that there was a aluminium fabricator in Orangeville.  There have been no leaks in 5 years

  Once the bedroom was well on the way we moved outdoors

The siding had arrived and we could finish the bedroom tip out.  Some jobs you spend as much time thinking as you do building.  The tip outs are one of those jobs.  We decided they would never tip again so we could make them taller at the outer edge and get more headroom.  Aluminium siding was incredibly expensive and not a job for amateurs to the decision was to combine regular residential vinyl siding with the original.  We sent hours working out how to make it look acceptable, it helped that with rebuilding the back end along with tip outs we had reasonable places to switch between materials

June 11th  tip out windows installed and siding  under way                 

Finished , thrilled we were able to match the blue and white on the inside corner

It's always exciting to get the first coat of paint on                      

June 27th 1:13pm  Almost ready to move in

No sooner a word than a deed 15 minutes later at 1:37 the bed was made up    

Samantha would have to wait until Sept.18th to have this first room finished

June 29th - July 3rd Here We Go Again.   Must be our reward for successfully completing the last one
