We're back, full of enthusiasm and with a trailer from the US loaded with renovation materials and a lounger for Mojo

Mo, tries but doesn't like his lounger one little bit.   Lily will however

Victoria Day Weekend May 16th - 18th.   Goal for this scorching hot weekend - to replace the roof

8X4 sheets of ply are screwed through existing roofing materials

Joints taped, drip edge applied to front and rear and a black aluminium flashing added to the side and between the trailer and the Florida Room

All Hands On Deck.  Conditions on the roof were brutal but ideal for laying the roll on bitumen backed PVC "Peel & Stick".   Had it been cooler we would have had to apply heat.  As it was we just used a roller on the overlapping edges.  Working as a 4 man team we got the job done in one day and spent the rest of the 'holiday' weekend working in the gardens and repairing the holes Mojo had dug in his garden

May 18th - Samantha clears the winter debris trapped by her weir

The Saga Of The  Bedroom

Midweek Tony and I demolished the bedroom tip out,  Rented a van and got the materials to rebuild at the weekend when reinforcements arrived

Good riddance to a pile of old rubbish, a neighbour took the metal the rest we took to the fire on the top field

Rain in forecast.   Left the jobsite tidy and watertight until we can get back to it

May 23rd preparing to install new fence post in Motorbike parking area

May 26th, Happy birthday Samantha

Carefully removing  siding to be replaced when the front corner has been reframed

Between the two photos below we finished the framing on the bedroom tip out, sheathed it with OSB, installed the windows and wrapped in Typar.  We ordered siding and wrapped the whole tip out in plastic until we were ready for the install it May 30th

The rest of that weekend we planned the electrical needs for the kitchen and made a schematic

Samantha and I went to Habitat for Humanities and scored a drop leaf table and 4 chairs,   for me to refinish at my leisure (?)

May 26th Happy 50th anniversary Tony.  Who would have taken bets in 1965?

Samantha and Paul insulated the under carriage and sealed it off    It was a horrible job but they had to prevent small critters getting in
