A visit to the Eurobodalla National Park 12 miles South of town had been suggested and we were dazzled by it's stunningly beautiful coastline

Fishin' on a wild and rocky coast

Beneath the pyramidal rock rests the shipwrecked Mimosa, a paddle steamer which ran aground in 1863

"Laugh Kookaburra! Laugh Kookaburra!  Gay Your Life Must Be"

Stunning as the landscape is, it was the Kookaburras 'laughing' in the trees  watching our every move, who stole my heart.   Next time we  heard their territorial call was in a zoo in Florida and instead of laughing,  I burst into tears

We had come full circle, to Margaret and Morrie's home in Melbourne where it all began.   The guys went to an Aussie rules footie game, Morrie barracks for Essendon so it was not a great afternoon for him but Tony enjoyed it.   Margaret, her friend Edith and I spent the afternoon playing Scrabble, Upword, eating Mothers Day chocolate and gossiping.   Our last night in Australia was spent where we spent our first night,  in Kurt's B&B in Castlemaine, we said goodbye to Blot and left next morning aboard the airport bus

We left with heavy hearts we will greatly miss the national sense of humour

This road safety campaign is deemed very successful.  If you find it offensive.  There are alternate, cock and knob versions.   Something for all sensibilities?
