Buksefjord

The view inland show the permanent icecap which covers most of Greenland. The lakes all have that pale turquoise colour so typical of glacial water.

The presence of the icecap means that there is rarely a warm wind in Greenland. It either blows off the sea or off the ice. Just occasionally the wind would blow north along the coast and then it felt positively balmy!

Looking east towards Tasiussarssuaq.

I explored this long inlet by dinghy and found that there is plenty of depth and it would make an interesting side trip for a sailboat. The fiord is narrow and deep and opens out into this large lake.

This is the narrow fiord leading from Buksefjord to Tasiussarssuaq. It is called Kua on chart 1310.
This looks like the best place to anchor in Tasiussarssuaq. It is at the SE end of the bay in the SW corner of the lake. Depth is shallow enough for anchoring.

The building looks like a summer cottage.
